Nutritional support for pregnancy, postpartum, and breastfeeding

Are you pregnant, in late pregnancy, or postpartum?

I support you with a personalized nutritional approach to adapt how you eat throughout pregnancy and afterward—to support breastfeeding and your recovery.

The goal: to help you eat with more peace of mind, meet your and your baby's needs, prevent deficiencies, better manage pregnancy symptoms, and prepare for a gentler postpartum.

Postpartum is a time when food often slips down the priority list, while your needs—and your baby's, if breastfeeding—stay important. Fatigue, lack of time, breastfeeding, mental load, rushed meals, or sweet cravings can make daily life harder: I also work with you in consultation to prepare for this and invite your partner or caregiver to join.

This program is for you if

  • You are pregnant and want to know what to eat during pregnancy to support your baby's healthy development;
  • You fear doing the wrong thing with forbidden or discouraged foods;
  • You are vegetarian, vegan, or have dietary restrictions and wonder whether you're meeting your nutritional needs properly;
  • You have nausea, reflux, constipation, fatigue, or food aversions and want practical tips to eat well;
  • You have gestational diabetes or blood sugar levels to monitor;
  • You are preparing your postpartum and want to plan meals ahead to recover as well as possible;
  • You breastfeed or plan to breastfeed: you want reassurance about meeting your needs and your baby's;
  • You are in postpartum and lack energy, time, or reference points to structure your eating.

Pregnancy or postpartum consultation with your partner

Your partner's participation in the consultation is encouraged. Coming together makes it easier to share information, and it is especially helpful to prepare for postpartum, share meal organisation, anticipate the shopping, and build a real dynamic of support at home.

FAQ

When should I consult a dietitian during pregnancy?

You can come for a consultation at any point during pregnancy — and even before!

The first trimester is useful to set the foundations, manage nausea, fatigue and dietary precautions. The second trimester often allows us to work in more detail on nutritional intake, digestion and blood sugar. In the third trimester we keep covering nutritional needs while also preparing for postpartum, possible breastfeeding and meal organisation.

What should I eat during pregnancy?

Your diet during pregnancy should be tailored to your needs, your symptoms, your tastes, your constraints and your medical follow-up. The goal is to properly cover energy, protein and fibre needs, as well as iron, iodine, calcium, vitamin D, B9, omega-3, etc., while taking dietary precautions into account (listeriosis, toxoplasmosis) and keeping meals enjoyable.

We work through all of this together in consultation!

Can a dietitian help with gestational diabetes?

Yes. Nutritional support can help you understand how to compose your meals, distribute carbohydrates and get concrete quantitative reference points, choose the right starches, share tips and ideas for meals or snacks, in order to maintain balanced eating despite glucose monitoring.

Is it useful to consult after giving birth?

Yes! Postpartum is an important period of recovery. A consultation can help you find simple reference points, organise quick meals, support your energy, adapt your diet to breastfeeding if needed and ease the mental load.

Can I consult while breastfeeding?

Yes. The support helps make sure you have the nutrients you need to cover your own requirements and therefore your baby's through breast milk, but also to support your energy, manage hunger and organise your meals...

Can I come with my partner?

Yes. Your partner is welcome at the consultation, especially to prepare for postpartum, organise meals, plan the shopping and menus, and share food-related tasks.
